Salt Box offer butchery and charcuterie training and consultancy for small food businesses, with a range of services bespoke to each project. Whether that be increasing the skill base of staff through delivery of a one-off session, or the provision of a product development package, we aim to deliver a quality service that meets the individual needs of the business.

TEACHING & DEMONSTRATING
Paul Burton is available for butchery, charcuterie and cookery teaching and demonstrations. Paul’s teaching style aims to instil confidence and understanding by putting the emphasis on principles on which to build skills and knowledge.
With experience in butchery, charcuterie, cooking and baking Paul has a broad skill and knowledge base to draw from, making a wide range of subjects available for him to teach.
As well as conveying the importance of artisan process, Paul also likes to provide a contextual backdrop for the class. By looking at the history of the subject and the provenance of the ingredients, he explores with the students how these effect the way we approach the subject matter.
Salt Box runs a range of workshops designed for members of the general public of all levels and abilities. The workshops are designed to be fun and exciting as well as informative, teaching both theory and practical skills in butchery and charcuterie. Workshops can also be designed around a particular group's interests or an event you may have planned, (minimum six participants).
